Dee and I enjoy watching property development and interior design TV shows. What resonates with us most are the personal transformations that happen when insightful eyes and skilled hands create something remarkably different and striking, leaving us in awe of the creative power of imagination, wisdom, and skill. We especially love seeing a neglected space or feature brought to life, enhanced, repurposed, and made beautiful.
As lifelong students and lovers of learning, Dee and I have dedicated much of our lives to gathering, practicing, and sharing wisdom for living resourcefully. We’ve done this not only by reading and heeding the words of the great and wise, but also by observing life, learning from our mistakes, staying curious, and paying attention. Through this process, we’ve found that lessons from property development and interior design often mirror our own development as human beings.
Fitted & Furnished, the House God Built, is our way of showing how we are fearfully and wonderfully made. In this series, Dee and I share our insights and experiences in life, property development, and interior design, explaining how we applied what we’ve learned to ‘remodel’ and ‘refresh’ the rooms of our own lives—and how you can do the same.
